I am an avid student of psychology, physics, philosophy, evolution, and music theory. I spend the better half of my free time writing and recording in my personal studio, and performing live shows with my band.

Dr. Andrews’ open-mindedness and the extent of his scientific expertise make him an incredible mentor and have allowed me to introduce my artistic creativity to the world of testable science. My thesis is concerned with the way our brains interpret the physical world and the passage of time in order to determine the pleasantness of music. I am also working on an article outlining a causal pathway between depressed affect and analytical rumination, with Aadil and Dr. Andrews on a review article focused on the adaptive value of fever, a series of experiments investigating the depressogenic nature of analysis with Sangeeta, and an experiment investigating the promotion of analysis through social stressors. I am the person anyone bugs when they want their experiment or simulation programmed. And I still get to play music after work.
